The tea is a stunning example of Jenwey Tea's commitment to sourcing the highest quality ingredients and blending them to perfection.

The base of this tea is a full bodied, earthy black tea, selected from the finest tea gardens in China. The tea is known for its bold, full-bodied flavor, with a rich malty character and earthy undertones.

To this base, Jenwey Tea has added real black cherries, picked at the peak of ripeness to ensure maximum flavor and aroma. The result is a tea with a robust, full-bodied taste that is beautifully complemented by the tangy, juicy sweetness of the cherries.

This tea is perfect for those who appreciate a rich and indulgent tea experience, whether enjoyed on its own or paired with a sweet dessert or savory cheese plate. Hot & iced - or perfectly stirred into a manhattan!

  • Black Cherry Tea Manhattan:

    • 2 oz rye whiskey
    • 1 oz sweet vermouth
    • 1/2 oz black cherry syrup (recipe below)
    • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
    • 1/4 cup brewed Jenwey Tea's Black Cherry Tea, chilled
    • Maraschino cherry, for garnish
    • To make the black cherry syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup pitted and halved black cherries, 1 cup water, and 1 cup granulated sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until mixture is thick and syrupy. Strain through a fine mesh sieve, pressing on solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

      To make the cocktail: In a mixing glass, combine rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, black cherry syrup, and bitters. Stir with ice until well chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with the brewed Jenwey Tea's Black Cherry Tea, and garnish with a Maraschino cherry.

      Black Cherry Tea Mocktail:

    • 1/2 cup brewed Jenwey Tea's Black Cherry Tea, chilled
    • 1/4 cup cherry juice
    • 1/4 cup sparkling water
    • 1 tbsp honey
    • Fresh cherries, for garnish
    • To make the mocktail: In a shaker, combine the brewed Jenwey Tea's Black Cherry Tea, cherry juice, sparkling water, and honey. Shake with ice until well combined. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with fresh cherries.
